Using Computers

Everyday computer help, explained simply.

Hi, I'm Taylor.

I'm the person at work everyone comes to with computer questions - and I'm not even in the IT department. I just happen to be good at explaining things in a way that makes sense.

I started Using Computers to help more people feel confident with everyday technology. No jargon. No judgment. Just clear, practical help.

Who this is for

This is for people who already use computers - you check email, browse the web, maybe do some online shopping. But sometimes things feel confusing or overwhelming, and you wish someone would just explain it clearly.

This isn't about becoming a tech expert. It's about feeling comfortable and confident with the technology you already use every day.

What I help with

Everyday computer tasks that should be simple but often feel complicated:

  • -Organizing files and folders so you can actually find things
  • -Managing email without feeling buried
  • -Staying safe online and avoiding scams
  • -Understanding what all those settings actually do
  • -Getting apps and programs to work together

My approach

I believe in confidence over complexity. You don't need to understand how everything works under the hood - you just need to feel comfortable using it.

There are no stupid questions here. If something is confusing, that's not your fault - it probably wasn't explained well.

Coming soon

I'm putting together a 5 Day Computer Competence Course for Windows - a simple email course to help you feel more confident with your computer.
